Turmeric is the plant of high medicinal value belonging to the Curcuma botanical group and is a part of Ginger family. It is the native of South India, Tamilnadu. Turmeric is the main source of Curcumin. The yellow color of Curcumin comes from pigments called Curcuminoids which is chemically known as diferuloymethane and is fat soluble.
